SPECIAL MEETING
"That the Tívoli will burn!"

_ 21: 00H.

The day to day of the workers of the iconic Tivoli amusement park in Benalmádena (Málaga), since in September 2020 the compound closed its doors surprisingly and began a long judicial process, with the media and economic impact that the closure of the park's activity has caused on the Costa del Sol and in Spain given its history. By relegating these consequences to a background, the documentary focuses on the activity that has since been carried out by Tivoli employees who come daily to maintain their facilities, attractions, animals, etc., without therefore receiving any economic remuneration and avoiding the vandalism that attracts a closed enclosure with such assets. The workers themselves explain the sharing of their tasks and present their reflections to the situation, celebrate even Christmas within the park, wait and demand the reopening of the Tivoli, while daily wear and news from the outside make fun of them.

The marcianada that brought the most famous vampire on the screen to our shores was perpetrated in 2002 by the indefable Jess Franco. Killer Barbys vs. Dracula was a sequel to Killer Barbys (1996).

In the second part of the psychoactive adventures of the Indian music band, Irina von Karnstein (played by the muse and companion of Jesus Franco, Lina Romay), no less than director of the Tourist Office of Transylvania, transports to the south of Spain the most famous character of his country, Count Dracula, to show his mummy in an advertising campaign that should promote the tourist image of the region. Let them take note of Fitur!

In the face of this important cosmic event, Silvia Superstar, a singer of Killer Barbies, tries to contact the late Valaco noble, and the thing seems to work. After hearing her sing, the Count wakes up from a lethargy of centuries. There is an innocent flirting between the two that leads to a profusion of hemoglobin that tinges all of primavera calima. Irina, ask for help from the famous Dr. Seward (actor Dan Van Husen), famous international (but blind) vampire hunters, and his assistant, Albinus, to end the bloody adventures of the Count.

The result? The B-series plot, apart, seems to be made with a home camera, with horrific plans that are not first of all audiovisual and abuse of the zoom in such a way that it seems that the operator has given a parraque. And maybe, in all this, his charm resides (or something)

The Tivoli in Killer Barbys vs. Dracula

What better location to promote Transylvania turistically on the Costa del Sol than the Tivoli World amusement park? In its facilities, much of the Killer Barbys (1996) and their confrontation with the evil Romanian nobleman occur.
The vampire walks through the scenarios of the above-mentioned Titvoli, although he prefers the village of Far West, he passes through La Paloma Park and also makes his own in the surroundings of El Bil Bil Castle or in the cemetery of Arroyo de la Honey.

He splashes the tape / between bikini with skull, bar and vampiresc gestures) some time with a certain salter, as when a victim asks Dracula, before they suck all about it: 'Why are you such a bastard?', and Dracula says, 'I had a horrible childhood!' This and a criticism of the general price rise (sic) for the arrival of the Euro in Spain and makes it the most memorable of the tape.

It is important to note that both Jess Franco, director of the film, and the Malagasy director R. Robles Rafatal (is the 'Punk number 1') have received both the children of Benalmádena trophies at the International Short Film Festival in Benalmádena. Other FICCAB acquaintances such as Carlos Fierro, Paul Lapidus and José Roberto Vila also appear in the film, in addition to the well-known businessman Kike Sarasola, who plays nothing less than Count Dracula.
