FICCAB recovers its most international facet this year by granting a 'Girl of Benalmádena' trophy to one of the most iconic faces of Ibero-American cinema: Cuban actor and director Jorge Perugoría, (Strawberry and ChocolateGrananameraCachitoBamba,

Overview: David (Vladimir Cruz) is a convinced communist who studies sociology at the University of Havana. Diego (Jorge Perugoría) is a homosexual artist who was harassed by the homophobia of the Castro regime. Despite the abysmal differences that separate them, a deep friendship arises between them.

SINOPSIS:

A journey through a unique and unrepeatable space and time that took place during the dictatorship in Spain. The Costa del Sol in the '60s was the spear of modernity and source of inspiration for film, literature, music, architecture and fashion...
