Elvira Lindo was born in Cadiz in 1962. He studied journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid and in 1981 he began working on National Radio in Spain.

From his work as a screenwriter he was born the character of Manolito Gafotas, which resulted in a series of very successful novels, the first of which he published in 1994.
Among others, Elvira Lindo has also published the novels: The other neighborhood (1998, 2019), Something more unexpected than death (2003), What I have to live (2010), Places I don't want to share with anyone (2011), Night without sleep (2015), Open heart (2020), Another summer with you (2002), Don de gentes (2011), 30 ways to take off the hat (2018) and In the mouth of the Wolf (2023).

He has also written theatre and screenplays for the films The first night of my life, along with director Miguel Albaladejo, Manolito Gafotas, verbal attack, again with the director Alicantino, Plenilunio, adaptation of her husband's novel, writer and academic Antonio Muñoz Molina and The Unexpected Life (2014) led by Jorge Torregrosa. In 2023 Elvira Lindo wrote the film's script "Someone to take care of me," which he co-directed with Daniela Fejman.

She has been awarded the National Prize for Child and Youth Literature and the Library Brief Award for the novel "A word from you," brought to the cinema with great success by Ángelez- Sinde.

Collaborates with El País newspaper and radio program «The Window» From Chain Being.

Overview: Amador and Fidel are two beach timers that act in and around Torremolinos. To put an end to the little fortune they get in their mos, Eduardo, friend of the two and brain of the group, has the idea of making a millionaire believe that Amador is a lucky man-elephant. Amador ends up believing the charade and one night he goes to the casino to spend all the money they had made. The three of you must then try to recover the lost money.
