'Benalzine '# 8 dedicated to George "Bud" Herbert Ornstein

This year we pay tribute to George «Bud» Herbert Ornstein, producer and pioneer of American film on Spanish lands by United Artist and Paramount. It was the result of films such as Alejandro Magno (1956) and Pride y Passion (1958). It was also key to the origin of the 007 franchise. Emparted with the royalty of the seventh art (his wife was a niece of «the bride of America», the silent film actress Mary Pickford), we addressed in the Benalzine her relationship with Spain and especially with Benalmádena, where she lived almost a decade and where you can still find traces of that film past.

PUBLICATION CREED BY CARLOS ZAMARRIEGO

Carlos Zamarriego, a playwright, a journalist, a neighbor of Benalmádena and a curious tireless, was the author of the Benalzine dedicated to Paul Lukas and in this edition he repeats as with a monograph to Marlon Brando.
