El Festival de Cine Mediterráneo de Split se ha confirmado como uno de los mejores y más populares acontecimientos culturales del Adriático, y su espíritu positivo durante las últimas 17 ediciones ha sido reconocido por más de 15.000 visitantes anuales. Esto se debe sobre todo a las películas del Mediterráneo que se estrenan en la región o en Croacia y que no pueden verse en las salas de cine habituales.
Las entradas agotadas son la norma en nuestros dos hermosos cines al aire libre, por lo que nadie se queja al ver una película sentado en una escalera o en una toalla de playa. Además, ese ambiente informal da al FMFS el aroma mediterráneo.
El punto fuerte del Festival es el Concurso de Cortometrajes Mediterráneos. 15 películas de todo el Mediterráneo compiten por el premio Gancho del Festival, dotado con 3.000 euros.
Los cortometrajes croatas también forman parte de esta competición y hemos preparado una pequeña selección de cortometrajes croatas a lo largo de los años, centrándonos en autores e historias locales.
En caso de que ya hayas decidido visitar Split en junio, no te preocupes, no serás el primero: ¡ya hemos oído que algunos están planeando las vacaciones según las fechas del FMFS!

Mediterranean Film Festival Split confirmed itself as one of the best and most popular cultural events on Adriatic and its positive spirit during last 17 editions was recognized by more than 15.000 visitors annually. It is mostly because of the movies from the Mediterranean that have their regional or Croatian premieres and which cannot be seen in a regular cinema distribution.
Sold out screenings are usual in our two beautiful Open-Air Cinemas, so no one is complaining when watching a film sitting on a stairs or a beach towel. Moreover, that casual atmosphere gives to the FMFS the Mediterranean scent.
Strong focus of the Festival is Mediterranean Short Films Competition. 15 films from all over Mediterranean compete for the Festival’s Hook award and 3.000 eur prize.
Croatian shorts are also part of this competition and we prepared small selection of Croatian shorts through years with focus on local authors and stories.
In case you have already decided to visit Split in June, don’t worry, you’ll not be the first one: we have already heard that vacations are being planned according to the dates of the FMFS!
