Published by the Benalmádena International Film Festival and the Castilla-La Mancha International Social Film Festival, for the first time proposes a transnational history of the film links between Cuba and Spain. It is therefore a pioneering work of reference that gathers, in a rigorous and accessible way, technical and critical information about the films that have emerged from the meeting between Cubans and Spaniards. Thinking of as a project in constant expansion, mapping the wide and diverse map of productions where both countries have coincided, both in themes and in productive collaborations.
Juan Antonio García Borrero, one of the most well-known critics and researchers of contemporary Cuban cinema, combines curudition, critical look and cartographic vocation, offering an essential tool for scholars, cinephiles and professionals interested in the audiovisual exchange between Cuba and Spain.
