The Benalmádena Festival will deliver the 'Film as a Language of Peace' award to the director Alexis Morante in its 24th edition, which will be held from 18 to 25 October
In the framework of the 24th International Benalmádena Film Festival (FICCAB), will be given the prize The Film as a Language of Peace to the director and screenwriter Alexis Morantein recognition of its history and its commitment to a cinema that promotes values of respect, solidarity and understanding between cultures.
This award is awarded in collaboration with the association Together for Peace from Benalmádenaan entity that works actively for peaceful and solidarity, including all living beings and promoting respect for differences and diversity.

The organization of FICCAB wanted to highlight that in works such as The Universe of Oliver, Heroes: silence and rock & roll, Camarón: Flamenco and Revolution, Sanz: what I was is what I am or The longest way, Morante has shown sensitivity to count personal stories which transcend borders and appeal to human understanding. And his last work Is the enemy there?: Gi's filmthe is clearly anti-war.

Since 2019, Together for Peace from Benalmádena, has recognized, with his prize Noble of Peace, people and groups working for harmony. Among its winners are Children's Aldeas, Malagueños de la Noche, Police Amigo, Gonzalo Fraile, Fire for the World, the Coral City of Benalmádena, Rodrigo, Father Angel, Javier Alex Sioli, Remedios del Río and Irene Villa, among others.
The prize, which joins those already announced to Elvira Lindo and Manuel Bellido, will be delivered to the Gaditan Alexis Morante the next 24 October at the Casa de la Cultura de Arroyo de la Honey, in addition to his film Is the enemy here?
