The gala was held this Thursday night in a conference room full of spectators, with the journalist and cultural manager Héctor Márquez as master of ceremonies. During the presentation, Márquez has reviewed Esteso's trajectory, covering his achievements in the cinema, as well as his less well-known facet as a singer, where he won famous hits with songs such as' Bellotero pop 'and' La Ramona '.

"Fernando Esteso was and remains one of the best and most complete Spanish artists of his generation. A comedian, an actor, whom to sing, to make a laugh and to stand in front of an audience came from a family. He was four or five years old when he first accompanied his parents, Julia and Lazaro, on the stage as a clown," said the gala host.

After the gala was finished, the comedy "Los liantes," directed by Mariano Ozores and starred in the honorado with actor Andrés Pajares, was projected. The plot follows two rogue scammers who, together with their young apprentice, try to hit the big hit in a luxury urbanization. However, their plans are not long in being complicated due to a number of entanglement and misguided situations that will put them in more than one strain.

Closing Gala: Arantxa Echevarría and Alex de la Croix

FICCAB will also pay tribute in its closing gala to the director, writer and producer Arantxa Echevarría, who will receive the City of Benalmádena Award. The filmmaker, awarded the Goya Award for the best new direction for her film 'Carmen y Lola', has consolidated her career with outstanding works such as' The Perfect Family ',' Chinas', 'Politically Incorrect' and her latest premiere, 'La Infiltrada'.

Also during the closing, the actress, director and activist queer Álex de la Croix will receive the Interpretation Award for her remarkable participation in the film 'I am loving you madly' and in the series' The Coming One ', as well as her recent nomination to actress revelation at the Carmen 2024 Awards.

In the same gala, the best short films selected in this edition of the Festival, which has had 29 projects covering genres such as fiction, documentary and animation, will be awarded.

The tickets to the projections are free of charge until complete capacity. The invitations for the galas are withdrawn at the House of Culture the day before the gala, from 10: 00 and 17: 00. An invitation quota shall be reserved for each time section.
