Demons, a terrifying work of worship

He has done so with the great protagonist of Damn. (Demons)Fabiola Toledo, who in the work of worship was transformed into a mistophelic... and carnivorous creature. Fabiola has assured that she continues to be impressed by her malefic mutation, the expansion of her tongue, the metamorphosis of her eyes or the terrifying growth of her claws.

The film is now considered a particular tribute to the special practical effects, that is, those created with real elements. «Practical special effects have more strength than those created with digital effects (CGI), perhaps that's why Demons remains so in force and has so much strength»Bava said.

Generational relief of fans

Bava has shared her surprise with the relief generational of its fans: «I have been on tour in Europe and it was young people who came to say hello. Demons has revived in recent times».

Demons, which brought together some of the best professionals of Italian terror of the time, is considered today in»a classic horror cinema of the eighties and an authentic work of worship, with gore touches, directed by Lamberto Bava and written by Dario Argento. A movie in the movies»as it happens in a movie room.

And it's just that Demons tells the story of a group of people are invited to the presentation of a horror film in a theater. What guests don't know is that the film will come to life and the horrors of the screen will be nothing compared to the horrors in the room. Soon, a young woman is attacked by the decoration and begins to mutate in a Terrible creature which attacks the other guests, making them living dead hungry for human flesh.

Demons' remake

On the setting of the film in a movie room, Bava has highlighted that recently «I was approached by a producer to propose the remake of Demons, Because, he told me, it's probably the last time we go to the movies, as rooms are being closed all over the world.».

Today, Bava's creative strikers have moved away from terror, but not from fantastic. «After having shot eight horror films, made several television series and been with the knife in my hand all day, I have tired of terror and write stories and fables, although they all have Some fantastic.«.

The success of the Demons saga in the 1980s allowed him to create a series of five fantastic television films in the 1990s, The Grotto of the Golden Rose (Fantaghirò), «which was the most successful television product of its time. I was told that this great achievement was due to the actress who was on the first film, but then there were others who were equal to or greater success.»It's over.
